I'm going to QuiltCon! My flight leaves tomorrow and I'll be in Austin until Monday. I'm so excited (and nervous, but mostly excited) - I've never done anything like this before, and I can't wait to spend the next week with all these amazing quilters!
I'm rooming with my friend Elizabeth, who made me my duffle and Senna tote, both of which I love. I'm traveling very handmade - everything above is coming with me, as well as three knitting project bags and makeup bags! I made a large Noodlehead Trail Tote to use as my purse - it's big enough to carry my entire life with me - as well as a matching Straight Stitch Society Have It All wallet, because the one I made 18 months ago is finally showing its age. It's a very Cotton + Steel trip, as you can see!
I'll be in Thursday's Patchwork City class with Elizabeth Hartman, Friday's noon lecture on fabric design with Kim Kight and Denyse Schmidt, and Saturday's Advanced Paper Piecing class with Lee Heinrich. I'm also going to try to make it to the Noodlehead Bag Meet-Up on Saturday, but it falls during class so that will depend on breaks!
Make sure you say hi if you see me - and take one of my cute Instagram calling cards, because I have 200 of them! See you there!
